Flora Fascinata: Birthday Cake!

 If you have been giving the attention Flora's frippery deserves you would know

that around this time of year, a certain birthday is celebrated.

Starr's.

S is always up for a good party.

And, doesn't mind a good theme.

This year you will surprised to know that it was pink.

The more Barbie the better.

S and I met early and we went to the flower market.

 I cleaned out every vase I had until they were shining.

 S got busy.

 Snipping and arranging.

 

 We had a break for coffee.

 H, who is as busy as the next person made this spectacular two-tiered

Flora Fascinata birthday cake.

Bright Learning: Yellow

 There's all sorts of loveliness in for Spring.

One-of-a-kind, hand-made pieces.

Slowly fashioned by a group of millinery masters and creative types.

In more pedestrian news I have been tidying up Flora's Atelier.

 Trying to sort out what I been stuffing into bags for the last few weeks or so.

  Sweeping up bits of detritus.

My flotsam and jetsam.



And, deciding what I should keep or throw out.



In exciting news; I have been privy to Starr's latest artistic inklings.

She has done a string of still-life shoots in the House of Flora.

Purplish Hue

I have fashioned this fleur with a little beaded lace and gentle dyed hue.

And popped it on a blocked lace base.

Apart from this, things have been quiet.

Except for crunching the workers' data.

A-B-C-D-E and so on.

It's end of term break very soon.

Expect a bit of extra special frippery soon.

I am holding court at The Hat Box this Saturday and will update you

with some of the most beautiful Spring headpieces.

I can hardly resist this Hatmaker stunner.
