Flora AppleTarts

Can you guess I am on holidays?
Finally, able to get a few important things done.
Flora Apple Tarts.
Have you been eating your fruit?
 Ready-made shortcrust pastry.
Get a decent non-stick muffin tray.
Red or green apples.
Melt brown sugar and honey for a glaze at the end.

A little pastry rosebud for the centres.
Use a cutter for the bases.
Crinkle, it to fit.
Prick with a fork. Bake blind. Pat down if you need to.
Use a mandolin to cut the fruit.
Thinly does it.
 Layer it.
Dot with a little sugar.
Caramelise in a hot oven.
Only glaze when you get them out of the pan, or else they'll stick.

Enjoy the day.

  1. These are so pretty, but I'd be tempted to pin them on my blouse rather than eat them!
