Red Vinyl and a nod to Philip

I love the look of red vinyl.
Philip Treacy likes it.
Only not around my derriere, no more.
And I'd be lying if I said one of my favourite things is to not fly home from the
chalkface, ASAP and at the COB to fashion frippery.
Today I fashioned a frippery with that said.
Used the red strip from The Fabric Store.

 Took control of it.
Rolled it.
Formed it, thought about it.

 Cut petals.
Used its thermoplastic features.
Hand cut tiny bits of felt for the veil.
Cross-stitched around the diameter of the straw base.
Might put a feather feature in it.
And a few more heat-treated petals.
How are you going Fiscal February-wise?
I've been blowing the dust of accessories.
That black bangle as below is from MoMA, New York.
I know, a one-of-a-kind resin and smooth-filed nonsense
that cost a bomb. I love it. It was a gift from one of the workers.
Once again, because she thought of me.
 How's your organisation?
I'm not colour-coding my wardrobe.
Don't go there.
It's mostly black anyway.
I'm sticking to every which way but loose.
I'm going to rely on my memory and use the stimulus to
stave off any early signs of dementia.

I've dug up this old lovely, a pheasant feather covered minaudiere
from my cousin-in-America.
Don't know what possessed her?
I love it!
Instead of exercising today, I made these biscuits.
Let's face it, it's all about balance.
Roll the dough into a log, wrap in cling, chill then slice.
I am too impatient to form cookie shapes.
No nonsense.
They come out a treat.
Don't forget to dust them.
I don't usually use the chain handle. I just perch the bag on the table. Or, in my hand.

Does anyone know any stars, apart from you, Bea?
I've just read a headline on the 'net
about 'Milliners using Stars to Get Ahead!
Let me know.
Also, if you are rubbing shoulders in those circles, the RSPCA Queensland needs a donation
for those flood affected areas in Queensland for flood displaced animals.

  3. That red corsage is gorgeous and so effective, love that!! Your wardrobe is wonderful...so pretty. A lot of my clothes are black too, I never realised it until I colour coordinated my clothes and kept putting things in the black section & that was pretty much all of it done ;) So, I've been trying to add more colour to my wardrobe now. I hope you have a marvellous Valentine's Day & I am excited for my Flora piece, it's going to be wonderful!! I'm hoping the weather stays dry here, so I can wear it out :))) Excited!!! xx
